Indian top and middle-order batter KL Rahul, who made his comeback to the Indian Test squad after an eight-year gap, is looking forward to grabbing his spot in the national team with both hands by putting up impressive performances.

Notably, Nair has been selected for the upcoming England tour, scheduled to start on June 20 at Headingley, Leeds, courtesy of excellent performances in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and the recently concluded IPL 2025 season.

Karun Nair, who made his Test debut against England in 2016, smacked an unbeaten 303-run knock in Chennai to hog the spotlight. However, he was later dropped from the squad after playing three home games against Australia in 2017.

Interestingly, Nair made a switch from Karnataka to Vidarbha in 2023. He went on to score 690 runs in 10 games and subsequently smacked 863 runs in nine Ranji games in 2024 with four centuries, helping his side to lift the title.

Later, he scored 779 runs from eight innings, including five centuries in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, before being picked by the Delhi Capitals’ franchise in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction for the price of INR 50 Lakh.

"Feels really special, very grateful and very fortunate to be able to get this opportunity again and really looking forward and excited to grab this opportunity with both hands," Nair said in a video posted by BCCI on social media.

"Not sure actually, I've to experience that feeling myself and just go out there and feel it for myself. I'm sure there will be a lot of feelings, ones that I can't express right now and it will be a special feeling," he added.
