England and New Zealand are currently in action against each other in the 33rd match of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground in Brisbane. English skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and asked his batters to take the charge on the field in the first innings. The opening pair of skipper Buttler and senior batter, Alex Hales has provided a good start to the three lions with a brilliant display of batting in the powerplay overs.
Apart from this, New Zealand skipper and veteran, Kane Williamson has fallen on the receiving end of the trollers on the social media platform, Twitter. It all happened due to the catch attempt he went for, on the shot played by English batter Alex Hales.
In the first instance, it looked like Williamson had taken a clean catch and his reaction was also as confusing as he wasn’t aware of the exact situation. The Field umpire happened to refer the decision to the TV umpire. Subsequently, the TV umpire overturned the soft decision of ‘out’ and declared Hales as ‘not out.
The reaction from Kane Williamson to the incident gave a chance to the cricket fans to take a jibe at him. On the contrary, few fans also appreciated the way Kane extended his apology after the decision was turned.
Here’s how fans reacted:

I’m not sure Kane Williamson can possibly think he caught that. It wasn’t in any part of his hand when it bounced

Kane Williamson is in the same league as Rahul Dravid.
