Shreyas Iyer is currently having his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. However, as per recent reports, he is most likely to miss the upcoming Asia Cup for Team India due to the back injury that he sustained during the fourth BGT Test against Australia in Ahmedabad.

Now, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) shared a video where Iyer was seen singing singer Kailash Kher’s famous ‘Saiyyan’ song in a hotel room with other three cricketers, Aman Khan, Hardik Tamore, and Suryansh Prashant Shedge. It seemed that those four cricketers were taking the trending ‘Saiyyan’ challenge on social media.

However, all of them did not sound that good and that left all fans crazy. LSG shared that video on Twitter with the caption: “We're sorry, Kailash Kher”. While on Instagram, they wrote: “Maaf kar dena, Kailash bhai #ReelKaroFeelKaro #ReelItFeelIt”. Meanwhile, all these players play for Mumbai in the domestic cricket. So, it was a fun session between those teammates. Still, some fans were wondering how LSG managed to put up that video on their social media platforms. Suryansh Prashant Shedge was a part of the franchise in IPL 2023 as he came in as a replacement for injured Jaydev Unadkat for INR 20 Lakh. Hence, It seemed that the presence of that player allowed them to post.

Speaking of Iyer, he missed both the IPL 2023 and World Test Championship (WTC) final for the same injury. He had successful back surgery and reports were there that he might get fit for the Asia Cup, as the One-Day World Cup is all set to happen later this year also. But, now his comeback is reported to get delayed. The Asia Cup is all set to take place from 31 August to 17 September 2023. As the proposed Hybrid model of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) got accepted by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), four matches will be played in Pakistan while the other nine matches will take place in Sri Lanka.
