The 25-year-old Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has stunned and impressed everyone with his brilliant batting performance against India in the second of the three-match ODI series. He smashed a brilliant century and scored 100 runs off 83 balls with eight boundaries and four sixes to his name.

Earlier, the right-hander played a vital role in Bangladesh’s victory of one wicket against India in the first ODI of the three-match series. The Khulna-born all-rounder stitched a 50-run partnership for the last wicket with the number 11 batter to cross the finishing line against India.

Speaking of the match so far, India is chasing the target of 272 runs posted by Bangladesh in the 50 overs. At the time of filling this copy, India has scored six runs in 1.1 overs. Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli are there in the middle with individual scores of 5 and 1 run respectively.

Earlier, the hosts Bangladesh posted a total of 271 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Apart from Mehidy Hasan’s century, senior all-rounder Mahmudullah also played a knock of 77 runs off 96 balls with six boundaries to his name.

The 148-run partnership between Mehidy and Mahmudullah helped Bangladesh to recover from a miserable situation condition of 69 runs for the loss of six wickets to a decent total of 271 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the 50 overs.

Following this ODI series, both teams will lock horns in the Test series starting from the 14th of December.
