KL Rahul is making constant headlines these days for all the wrong reasons. The India opener has just 125 runs in his last 10 innings – the worst record among India’s top batters. India’s Playing XI for the third Test vs Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series is expected to be without KL Rahul, who was also snatched of his vice-captain role. After the Delhi Test, the recently married batter visited SG Factory in Meerut and talked with the company’s co-owner Paras Anand.

KL Rahul has been in abysmal form in the red-ball game. In the current series against Australia, Rahul has only managed to score 20, 17 and 1 in his three innings. Notably, the batter has been unable to get past the 30-run threshold in his last 10 innings. Over the previous 12 months, he has only averaged a little above 13. Even allrounder Ravichandran Ashwin and tail-ender Mohammed Siraj have better batting averages of 37.0 and 21.80, respectively. As such, removing his vice-captain status seems like a ploy to make dropping him from the Playing XI easier.

Besides KL Rahul, Axar Patel and Mohammed Siraj also visited SG factory after Delhi Test

“Cricket is all about precision and perfection! Taking a step closer towards perfection, KL Rahul visited the SG factory,” wrote SG on their official Instagram handle. Along with KL, SG also supplies equipment to Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, Suresh Raina, and Mohammed Siraj. Axar Patel and Mohammed Siraj also visited the SG factory after the Delhi Test.

Sanspareils Greenlands (SG) is the world’s largest and most reputable cricket equipment manufacturer. Two brothers named Kedar Nath Anand and Dwarka Nath Anand founded the business in 1931 in pre-independent India. It began as primarily an export-focused manufacturing establishment. Sunil Gavaskar was chosen to be the brand ambassador of SG in the 1970s, and as they say, the rest is history.

SG has developed into a strong manufacturing enterprise. Their products include English Willow and Kashmir Willow Cricket Bats, Hand-Stitched Leather Balls, Protective Equipment, Cricket Whites, Kit bags, to all forms of Cricket Footwear and Accessories.
