All participating teams have already announced their squads for the marquee tournament to be held on Australian soil. Speaking of the Pakistani side, then they are eager to welcome their ace speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi as he is all set to make his comeback after recovering from a protracted knee injury.

The young pace sensation sustained this injury during the Asia Cup 2022 and subsequently, he was ruled out of the tournament.

Recently, the 22-year-old pacer took to Twitter for posing a danger sign to the opponent teams ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. He added a picture of himself in a casual outfit with the caption, “calm before the storm.”

Although, this tweet from the premier Pakistani pacer gave a chance for Indian cricket fans to take a sly dig at him. They took to Twitter for making fun and memes about Shaheen Afridi.

Currently, the men in green are in action during the ongoing T20I tri-series in New Zealand where Bangladesh is the third team alongside the hosts. Although, Shaheen hasn’t made it to the playing XI in the first and ongoing second matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand respectively.

Pakistan is coming off with a win by 21 runs in the series opener against Bangladesh. Now, they are in action against the Kiwis in the second match of the tri-nation series.
