Indian team crossed their swords with South Africa in the third and final T20I of the three-match series. Both teams played this match at Holkar Stadium in Indore. As India had already won the series, so the management went on to rest the former skipper Virat Kohli and senior KL Rahul for the last match of the series against the visitors.

Although, this decision from the management didn’t go down well with former Indian speedster Dodda Ganesh and he lashed out at the Indian think tank for resting Kohli and Rahul unnecessarily. Ganesh took to Twitter to express his disbelief over the selection of the playing XI by management in the third T20I against South Africa.

“KL Rahul had only got his rhythm back and he is been rested along with Kohli for the third T20I. I don’t understand this. Both had long lay-offs & had only returned recently. When you’re in form play as many games as possible & score runs. That’s what I believe #DoddaMathu #INDvSA,” wrote Dodda Ganesh in his tweet while criticizing the Indian management.

Talking about the cricket of both the senior batter, then Virat and KL were looking in great touch during the second T20I against South Africa which ended up as a high-scoring encounter. Eventually, the hosts won that match by 16 runs to take a winning lead in the series. KL Rahul smashed 59 runs off just 28 balls whereas the 33-year-old also contribute with 49 runs to help the team post a total of 237 runs on the board in the first innings.
