Indian vice-captain and senior batter KL Rahul is currently not in action with the national side of India due to personal obligations. Meanwhile, amidst the wedding ceremony, a few media reports have learned that the Karnataka batter could make a comeback in the Test team of India. He is reported to join the squad for the upcoming full-fledged four-match Test series against Australia just after his marriage.

Although this news of the comeback of KL Rahul hasn’t gone down well with a section of the Indian cricket fans were already in anger over the poor run of form with the bat for the last couple of months since the Asia Cup 2022 and the 20-20 World Cup 2022. They took to Twitter to troll the 30-year-old mercilessly and also went on to the extent of saying that he shouldn’t make a comeback too early and can comeback take his time to come back after the ODI World Cup later this year.

Here's how fans reacted:

Talking about KL Rahul’s form, he is enduring a lean patch and failed to live up to the expectations in the bilateral assignments in both Tests and ODIs against the lower-ranked team like Bangladesh.

Even the Indian Cricket Board has also been on the receiving end of harsh criticism from the fans and the experts of the game for giving more than enough chances to the Bangalore Batter.

Speaking of the Indian Team, they are currently in action under the captaincy of regular skipper Rohit Sharma in the ongoing three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The men in blue have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series. Now, both teams will lock horns in the third and last of the three-match ODI series at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Tuesday, the 24th of January.
