Joginder Sharma, Brett Lee to participate in the Legends League Cricket 2022

The Legends League Cricket is heading to its second season. The inaugural season was played in January this year.

The Legends League Cricket is heading to its second season. The inaugural season was played in January this year. In the tournament, they were three teams battling it out. Them being India Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants played. The tournament was played in the double round-robin format where the Maharajas couldn't make it to the finals. World Giants won the final by 25 runs.

The first season saw star players such as Virender Sehwag, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Misbah ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Tillakaratne Dilshan, etc participate in the tournament. The tournament gathered a lot of views as the fans witnessed their yesteryear heroes on the field once again after so many years. Thus, these players are set to feature in the second season as well.

In addition, Bret Lee, Liam Plunkett, Joginder Sharma, Albie Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, Ajantha Mendis & Dilhara Fernando shall also be a part of the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the tournament co-founder, Raman Raheja said that the next season is going to be bigger and bolder. He also said that the tournament welcomes the legends of the game and is looking forward to witnessing the magic of these players once again.

“With these additions, our second season is becoming bolder and bigger. With great pleasure, we welcome them to the Legends family and looking forward to witness their magic on field at LLC Season 2,” Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, Legends League Cricket said.

On the other hand, Raheja added that this time, four teams will play. With this, the number of games will also to 15 compared to seven in the first season. He announced that the new season will start on September 20 and the final will be played on October 10. For the tournament, the player drafts will also be conducted with 110 players.

“As I mentioned earlier, we have 4 Franchisees owned teams, playing 15 matches between September 20 to October 10, 2022, at Oman. We will keep announcing the names of 110 Top class players who would be put in 4 teams through a Player Draft process in early August 2022,” Raman Raheja added.
