The star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has recently tweeted for the first time since he met the horrific accident on the 30th of December last year in 2022. The 25-year-old young cricketer ended up injuring multiple organs alongside a tear in all three ligaments of the right knee. Just after the accident, he was rushed to various hospitals in Uttarakhand for the initial medication.
Later on, the Indian Cricket Board decided to airlift Rishabh Pant from AIIMS Rishikesh to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai where he is being treated by the official medical team of the Board.
Coming back to his latest tweets, the southpaw informed about the successful completion of his surgery and also added that the recovery phase has begun.
“I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the Indian cricket Board, Jay Shah & government authorities for their incredible support,” reads the first of the two tweets posted by Rishabh Pant on his official Twitter handle.
“From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors, and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field,” he added later.

Earlier, a few media reports learned that Rishabh Pant might miss most of the part of 2023 in international cricket followed by an absence in next year’s 20-20 World Cup in 2024. But any sort of official confirmation from the Indian Cricket Board is yet to arrive.
