Jasprit Bumrah is all set to mark his presence in the upcoming Asia Cup. He recently made a comeback in International cricket after a long injury setback in the Ireland T20I series. Till now, he has played in two Asia Cups (2016, 2018) as he was not available in the last edition in 2022. Still, he managed to come up with some breathtaking performances with the ball for the Men in Blue in crunch situations. Bumrah last played an ODI in July 2022.

3/37 vs Bangladesh, 2018:

During the Asia Cup 2018, India took on Bangladesh in the first match of the ‘Super 4’ stage in Dubai. The Bangla Tigers batted first and got bundled out for just 173 runs in 49.1 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show as he picked up three wickets for 37 runs in 9.1 overs. 

He took the wickets of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mustafizur Rahman. Apart from him, Ravindra Jadeja took a four-fer and Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed three wickets. In reply, India chased down the target with seven wickets and 13.4 overs in hand.     

2/29 vs Pakistan, 2018:

This spell came against Pakistan during the third match of the ‘Super 4’ stage in Dubai. India’s arch-rivals, the Men in Green batted first and managed only 237 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs. Jasprit Bumrah bowled at an economy of 2.90 and took two wickets in his 10 overs. 

Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav also took two wickets each. He took the wickets for Shoaib Malik and Shadab Khan. In reply, India chased down the target in just 393 overs with nine wickets in hand.  

1/8 vs Pakistan, 2016:

This spell came during the Asia Cup 2016 and that edition was played in the 20-20 format. It was the fourth match of the tournament that took place in Mirpur between India and Pakistan. While batting first, the Men in Green got bundled out for just 83 runs in 17.3 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah took only one wicket but conceded only eight runs in his three overs. Hardik Pandya was the star with three wickets for just eight runs in 3.3 overs. In reply, India chased down the target in 15.3 overs with five wickets in hand.
