India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who got injured in a horrific car accident last year in December, recently pleased his fans with some videos where it can be seen that the left-hander is recovering very well. However, the Indian Cricket Board is apparently seeking to fasten the destructive young batter's rehabilitation in an effort to have him ready for the ODI World Cup later in 2023.

Along with his teammates Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and Prasidh Krishna, Pant is now continuing his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He recently released a video of his mobility workouts on social media. The young dasher is mostly pain-free, but physio S Rajnikanth believes that he is still quite a ways from completing a full recovery.

After being involved in a car accident, the 25-year-old batter suffered many injuries and was predicted to miss the entire cricket season in 2023. Even though the captain of the Delhi Capitals missed the 16th season of the Indian Premier League and India's World Test Championship Final against Australia, his rate of recovery has given Indian supporters hope for the forthcoming ODI World Cup.

Bumrah is also hoping to make a comeback before ODI World Cup

The Indian team also suffered a lot without the crucial wicketkeeper-batter in the recently concluded WTC Final, where the Men in Blue were defeated by Australia. However, the chief of NCA and former legendary Indian batter VVS Laxman closely monitoring his development. Additionally, Pant is interacting with the young cricket players who have been attending training camps at the NCA and motivating them to pursue careers in cricket.

India’s prominent pacer, Bumrah, who recently underwent back surgery and missed the WTC Final and IPL 2023, is also continuing his rehabilitation at the NCA and is anticipated to be ready for this year's Asia Cup, which is slated for August-September.

"Bumrah is mainly doing physiotherapy but has recently started light bowling workloads, which will gradually increase," a source was quoted as saying by The Economic Times.
