After Ricky Ponting's bold claims on Prithvi Shaw's preparations for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League, the India star was spotted with Sourav Ganguly in the Delhi training camps. Ganguly has been appointed the Cricket director of the Delhi franchise for the 2023 edition after being associated with the franchise as the mentor in 2019.

Earlier, head coach and Aussie legend Ricky Ponting made huge claims about his expectations from Prithvi Shaw for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. "I think we are going to see the real Prithvi Shaw this season," Ponting said. "He's in a better physical shape than I've ever seen him before. I spoke to him the other day about his attitude, the way he's working, and how things are going. I honestly feel that this is going to be his biggest season in the ITL. He just has that different look in his eye this year. You can see, he's hungrier than ever," Ponting said.

It will be a Ponting-Ganguly Reunion in Delhi

Before the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League, head coach of the Delhi Capitals (DC) Ricky Ponting and director of cricket Sourav Ganguly got back together (IPL 2023). While Ganguly has returned to DC as Cricket Director, Ponting will maintain his coaching position. The franchise previously had a mentor's relationship with the former Indian Cricket Board president in 2019.

"I am excited to be back with the Delhi franchise. My association with the women's team and the Pretoria Capitals over the last few months have been fantastic, and I am looking forward to the upcoming season of the ITL. Delhi had done well as a team during my last stint with them. I have already been involved with the players this time around, and I am keen to see them as a group. Hopefully, we will all have a great time over the next couple of months," Ganguly exclaimed on joining Delhi again.
