Shakib Al Hasan, born in Bangladesh, is undoubtedly one of the best cricketers the country has ever produced. But, his attitude has frequently led him to judicial trouble. Shakib occasionally loses his composure during cricket matches or his personal life while not on the field. Shakib was seen in a social media video assaulting a fan under heavy security and surrounded by a large crowd. On social media, the video has subsequently become very popular.

Shakib is the favourite of controversies, especially in the cricket community in Bangladesh. He has frequently made the news for the wrong reasons because of his theatrics on the field. It’s the same with the most recent event during a promotional event.

Bangladesh defeated England in the first T20I of the series

Shakib is currently captaining Bangladesh in a bilateral series against England. On Thursday, Bangladesh trounced England in the opening T20I of the three-match series under Shakib’s leadership.

Speaking of his team’s victory, Shakib said: “The way we approached the game was fantastic; I can’t ask more from our team. When we were bowling, we were under the pump, but no one panicked. Everyone knew what they needed to do. All the bowlers stuck to their plans. Other than my dropped catch, everyone fielded really well. (No fear approach) That’s what we want to do. In T20s, when you don’t think too much, you perform well. That’s the environment we are trying to create in the dressing room. Hopefully, we can continue this. This is a very good start. If you think about 2024, we’ll be playing the World Cup in West Indies. We can build on from here. We can only get better so that we can put a very good team when the World Cup comes.”

Previously, Shakib Al Hasan’s men had suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of England in a 3-match ODI series.

Here’s how fans reacted to Shakib Al Hasan’s off-field antics:
