Ravindra Jadeja is currently gearing up for the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League in 2023. The star all-rounder of team India will play a vital role in Chennai as he has always been an integral part of the team. Last year, he got the opportunity to lead the team also as the management showed faith in him.

But, he failed miserably and middle of that season, he got ruled out of the tournament due to injury. So, MS Dhoni became the skipper again and now, he will continue to lead the team in the 16th edition of the tournament. However, after the 2022 edition, there were several rumours that Jadeja was set to leave the franchise. Some social media activities from the player also emphasised fans to believe such rumours.

But, ahead of the tournament, Chennai fans went berserk when they got to know that the star all-rounder will be donning the yellow jersey again. On 27 March 2023, the franchise had an intense practice session in front of their home fans at the Chepauk stadium. Now, a video from that practice session has gone viral where Ravindra Jadeja was seen doing the trademark style of ‘The Pushpa movie. However, it was not the first time that the team India player did the same style for the fans. Seeing that fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform.

Regarding Jadeja’s importance in the team, an official opened up to Cricbuzz and said: “Jaddu is fine, he is happy to be back with the team and is very keen to do well. He is looking forward to the season”. Last season, Dhoni said that the burden of captaincy affected Ravindra Jadeja in his preparations. The statement came after facing the Hyderabad franchise ad that reportedly caused an issue between these two. Dhoni said: “I think Jadeja knew last season he'd be captaining this year. For the first two games, I oversaw his work and let him be later. After that, I insisted he'd take his own decisions and responsibility for them. Once you become captain, it means a lot of demands come in. But it affected his mind as the tasks grew. I think captaincy burdened his prep and performances.”
