‘Jab tak batting karne nahi aata tab tak bharosa nai’ - Fans react as reports of Liam Livingstone to play against RCB in IPL 2023 surface

On 20 April 2023, Punjab Kings (PBKS) are going to play against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ongoing IPL. PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan did not play the last game against LSG. Even, Liam Livingstone did not get featured in that game. So, all eyes will be on them whether they can play or not against RCB.

But, now some reports have come out that Liam Livingstone might be in the playing XI against RCB. Hearing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media. But, some RCB fans were not happy as they are fully aware of the capabilities of the star England all-rounder, especially with the bat. 

“We'll know a lot more coming in the next game" - Coach Haddin on Livingstone

Livingstone failed to join the franchise as he did not get fitness clearance from ECB before the tournament started. He joined the squad on 10 April 2023 ahead of their clash against GT in Mohali. Regarding his availability, Coach Haddin said: "He just got off a flight, for the next couple of days, we will see where he's at. He's just come back from a long-term injury so we just had opportunity to put some eyes on him over the last 24 hours. We'll know a lot more coming in the next game".

But, in the next game also which was against LSG, Liam Livingstone did not play. His all-round abilities can make him a perfect addition to the team. But, it will be hard for them to replace one player with Liam Livingstone. Meanwhile, as per recent reports of EspnCricinfo, Livingstone has sustained a hamstring injury in the nets while batting. But, he might get recovered in time to play against RCB. In the last season of IPL, Livingstone scored 437 runs in 14 matches, at a strike rate of 182.08. He also hit 34 sixes. With the ball, he took six wickets.
