Talking about the captaincy of Rohit Sharma lately, he has been on the receiving end of criticism from cricket fans, experts, and former greats of the game. The men in blue lost the Asia Cup 2022 followed by the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

But recently, the former Indian batter Mohammed Kaif has come up in a defense of Rohit by saying that there is still time left to assess Rohit Sharma's captaincy as the full-time skipper of India.

"Rohit has done well since he became the captain. Apart from the big events where he failed in the World Cup and the Asia Cup, that’s why people are not happy. It was the same thing when Virat was the captain,” said Kaif during the commentary on Sony Sports Network.
