As per multiple mainstream news outlets, this is the first time Pathan has publicly revealed his wife's face. The cricketer turned commentator and analyst has been criticised in the past for hiding his wife's face while sharing pictures on social media. Pathan and Baig exchanged vows in 2016 and have been blessed with two sons, Imran and Suleiman.

Pathan, who announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2020, currently performs commentary duties and game analysis. The 39-year-old was part of the Indian team that won two major international trophies - the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. In fact, the southpaw was awarded Player of the Match for his heroics with the ball in the World Cup final against Pakistan.

Rohit Sharma-led Team India is currently engaged in a five-match Test series against England. Having lost the first match in Hyderabad by 28 runs, the hosts are trailing 1-0 in the series. India were considered favourites to win the match, but the visitors managed to script a historic victory, much to the shock of Pathan and thousands of others. However, he is confident that the Men in Blue will bounce back to win the series.

"I was shocked to see India's defeat. I was taking a flight to Kolkata and India needed 200 runs. By the time I landed India had lost the game. I was shocked but I believe that we will make a comeback." Pathan said.
