‘Ek taraf Virat Kohli toh doosri taraf...’ – Irfan Pathan leads the way as cricket fraternity wishes Virat Kohli on his birthday

The Indian cricket fraternity came together on Sunday to wish Virat Kohli on his 35th birthday. The former Indian skipper is currently playing for India in the ODI World Cup 2023 game against South. Irfan Pathan was one of the earliest to wish Virat Kohli as he took to Twitter to post his heartfelt message.

Since making his debut for the Indian Cricket Team in 2008, Virat Kohli has become a huge player and gone on to dominate bowlers across the world. The former Indian skipper is just one century from equaling the most centuries in ODI Cricket held by Sachin Tendulkar.

Many of the current-day cricketers and past-day stars took to social media to wish Virat Kohli. The wishes came from India and beyond as even AB De Villiers recorded a special message for the Indian batting icon.

Former Indian star Irfan Pathan took to Twitter and posted a heartfelt message for Virat Kohli on his 35th birthday. The 39-year-old wrote, “Ek taraf @imVkohli aur doosri taraf duniya ke saare batsmen, Virat sabse aagey”

Indian Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar also posted a tweet, which read, “Virat, may you keep winning hearts with your passion and performances. Wishing you a great year ahead and a very happy birthday”

Former South African great AB De Villiers shares a close bond with the former Indian skipper. ABD recorded a message where he could be seen speaking about how much it meant to him to spend time with Virat Kohli. Calling the 35-year-old his brother AB De Villiers could be seen sending his warmth and love towards the Indian star.

Many more cricketers past and present took to Twitter to wish the Indian batting star as he turned a year older. While the world is busy celebrating Kohli’s 35th birthday the man himself is busy preparing for major battles ahead.

The Indian team had beaten Sri Lanka by 302 runs in their previous game in Mumbai on Thursday. Shubman Gill top scored with 92, while Virat Kohli scored 88 runs. Just when the Indian star was looking good for a century he fell to Dilshan Madushanka. So far Virat Kohli has hit four half-centuries and one century during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.
