IPL: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-time best XI

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are one of the franchises yet to win their maiden IPL title. But over the years, several top global cricketing stars have played for this franchise. With a playoff spot almost secured, this might be the year RCB fans have been waiting for. When it comes to the all-time best XI for RCB in this competition, both Faf du Plessis and Chris Gayle should be the openers, based on their explosive batting capabilities and the right-hand-left-hand combination. 

Then, Virat Kohli is undoubtedly their number three. He is still going strong and should be considered the skipper. Maxwell has always been very inconsistent in the IPL, but for RCB, he has been decent enough compared to other players who have been given the finisher role. Yuzvendra Chahal should be their lone spinner, as he has been one of the top bowlers not only for them but also in the tournament overall.

At the end of the line-up, the pace trio should consist of Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and Zaheer Khan. Considering the experience and variety, this bowling unit will provide Kohli with enough options to manage his resources as per the situation.
