Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are scheduled to lock horns twice against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The first face-off between the two teams is set to take place at the Barsapars Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on March 26 at 7:30 PM IST.

The Knight Riders and the Royals will be up against each other after more than a month on May 4 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It will be an afternoon clash and will get underway at 3:30 PM IST. Interestingly, both teams locked horns two times in the last edition of IPL as well but their match in Guwahati ended in no result due to rain.
The fans in Guwahati will be hoping that the rain doesn’t play any spoilsport this time around.
KKR vs RR head to head record in IPL
It was a high-scoring encounter between KKR and RR when the two teams last faced each other at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Sunil Narine smashed a brilliant century, scoring 109 runs off 56 deliveries for KKR while the rest of the batters chipped in vital runs. On the back of these efforts, KKR posted a mammoth total of 223 runs in their 20 overs.
The Royals were up for the chase as their opener Jos Buttler shpeherded them smashing a ton on his own. He batted through the chase to remain unbeaten on 107 runs with nine fours and six sixes as the Royals stunningly chased down the target even as the likes of Riyan Parag and Rovman Powell also played a crucial role.
As far as the overall head to head record is concerned, this rivalry is brewing up nicely now. Both teams have faced a staggering 29 times in IPL history so far and have won 14 matches each with one of the matches, in the previous season, ending in no result.
KKR and RR will be looking to take a lead in IPL 2025 as they will face twice this season in the league stage.
