IPL: CSK vs LSG head-to-head record

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been one of the most dominant sides of the IPL and not many teams can boast of a more dominant record against them in recent years than Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The two teams have faced each other a total of five times so far where CSK have been able to find just one victory while LSG has won three games with one game ending in no result.

The first clash between the two sides came in the inaugural season of LSG in 2022. Playing at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, LSG won everything in the game including the toss. Although CSK scored 210 with the bat, LSG made the total look as they effortlessly chased the total down, winning the game by six wickets.

The next encounter between the two sides came the next year when LSG met CSK in their fortress and surely they used their resources well. CSK, as expected at their home, defeated LSG by 12 runs, making it even. The next game between the two teams was scheduled for May 3 of the same year but ended in no result due to rain.

After having won at their home ground, CSK were then invited to Lucknow and it did not go as they would have planned for it to go. LSG won the toss again and CSK put up a good total of 176. However, LSG made the chase look like a walk in the garden as they won by eight wickets with an over to spare.

Another high-scoring encounter between the two sides happened soon enough, as the two teams met each other within a week. Continuing with their momentum, the Super Giants thrashed the Super Kings by six wickets owing to a sensational century by Marcus Stoinis, earning him the Player of the Match award.

The contest between the two sides has always been entertaining for the fans with different heroes emerging every time. Ruturaj Gaikwad from the Chennai Super Kings with 183 runs, has been able to amass the most runs so far in the contest between these two teams while Ravi Bishnoi with six wickets has been the one with the most wickets.
