IPL: 3 SRH players who may find a new team in IPL 2026

In 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a rough year. The team's significant losses, including an 80-run loss to KKR and back-to-back losses to MI, made their issues clear. Even though Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma occasionally put on strong performances, the team's performance was uneven. We'll quickly examine a few players who might end up on different teams in the next auction.

1. Mohammad Shami

After being acquired by the team for INR 10 crore, veteran Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami was chosen to strengthen SRH's bowling unit alongside captain Pat Cummins. Shami, who took the most wickets during the previous IPL season (2023), was unable to do any miracles with the ball for SRH this time around.

At an economy rate of 11.23, the right-arm bowler was only able to take six wickets in nine games. In such a situation, Shami's release may not be a surprising move, but SRH can make a big change in its bowling department.

2. Abhinav Manohar

Despite playing seven games, Abhinav Manohar was unable to establish himself in the middle order, managing just 61 runs with a poor strike rate. He scored a respectable 43 runs in the game against the Mumbai Indians, but that is all he got for the show. Purchased for ₹3.20 crore, he had some promise but was unable to construct or complete crucial innings, which reduced SRH's batting depth.

He made a few contributions overall and didn't score any half-centuries. By dropping Manohar, SRH would be able to add an Indian batsman who is more reliable and capable of handling pressure. He is probably one of the guys that SRH will unleash in 2026.

3. Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar was purchased by SRH for Rs 3.2 crore, however, he was only able to participate in one game during the season. He was obviously not included in the team's plans, therefore, SRH can let him go prior to the next mini auction.

The young leggie Zeeshan Ansari, not Rahul Chahar, was the next in line after Adam Zampa, the spinner's first choice, returned. Given his skill as a spinner, other teams would undoubtedly want to get him.
