IPL: 3 RCB players who may find a new team in IPL 2026

After winning the IPL 2025 championship and ending their 18-year drought, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is already trying to bolster their team for the upcoming campaign. As part of their RCB released players 2026 list, they are probably going to let go of certain key players, such as Rashika Salam and Liam Livingstone. Let's examine the top three players that RCB can release for the 2026 Indian Premier League.

1. Rasikh Salam Dar

Rasikh Salam Dar has been a dismal IPL 2025 player, having been brought in for Rs 6.5 crore, making him the most expensive uncapped player. The Jammu and Kashmir bowler bowled at an economy rate of 11.67 and only took one wicket in two games.

He spent the entire IPL 2025 season primarily as a spectator after being demoted down the hierarchy. It makes sense if RCB intends to ship him and clear up their budget ahead ot the mini auction. They already have great fast bowling options, and they can clear up some space for other players.

2. Liam Livingstone

In the mega auction last year, RCB paid Rs 8.75 crore to get England's batting all-rounder Liam Livingstone. However, despite one half-century, Livingstone, 31, was only able to score 112 runs in 10 games.

Despite playing five games, he only managed to take two wickets. Due to his subpar batting performance in the middle of the league stage, he was also removed from the team. He is on the RCB's list of players who are likely to be released as a result of this inconsistency.

3. Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi, a fast bowler from South Africa, joined RCB for Rs. 1 crore. Ngidi helped RCB dismiss four batters in two IPL 2025 games. The 29-year-old fast bowler missed the playoffs because of national duty, and he gave up runs at an economy rate of 10.12.

Although Ngidi is a good pacer, RCB may decide to release him due to his bad injury record. Additionally, RCB might not be interested in keeping him for the upcoming season with the abundance of pace bowling resources available.
