IPL 2026: Predicting Gujarat Titans (GT) strongest playing XI

Among the most financially constrained clubs in the IPL 2026 auction was the Gujarat Titans. They just needed to fill a few key positions because they had kept the majority of their core from the previous season.

It's difficult to determine whether their selections would satisfy them. They only signed two players for those positions because their needs were primarily in the middle order: Tom Banton, who has only lately moved into the job, for Rs. 2 crore in the third accelerated round, and Jason Holder for their auction-best of Rs. 7 crore.

Nonetheless, as Gujarat continues to have one of the most reliable starting lineups, forecasting their lineup is still one of the most effective tasks. Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will continue to open the attack as they were the most successful opening pair the previous season, with both of them scoring more than 600 runs each. Gill will continue to serve the team as the captain.

Jos Buttler takes up the job at three and was easily one of the best at the job last season. He did not just score runs but scored them at an excellent strike rate as well. The number four position is expected to be with Washington Sundar, then followed by Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia.

Jason Holder will occupy the role at seven with his skills from both ends of the game, and will be assisted by Rashid Khan, who can also do the same with some quality spin bowling. Sai Kishore can be picked as an impact player when bowling, and he can partner with Rashid to trap opposition batters.

The pace attack picks itself up as they include Kagiso Rabada, Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. They can together become one of the most fearsome pace batteries in the league.
