The three-time champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), will enter the auction with the highest purse remaining (Rs. 64.3 crore). The primary reason behind this substantial balance is the release of high-profile players such as Andre Russell (Rs. 12.00 crore), Anrich Nortje (Rs. 6.50 crore), and Venkatesh Iyer (Rs. 23.75 crore). All eyes will now be on KKR’s approach on December 16, as they can fill a maximum of 13 slots, including six overseas slots.

The least remaining purse belongs to the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI), who will enter the auction with only Rs. 2.75 crore.

Across all teams, a total of 77 player slots will be available, with an accumulated purse of Rs. 237.55 crore. A total of 173 players have been retained, including 49 overseas players. The IPL 2025 runners-up, Punjab Kings (PBKS), have retained the most players (21). Each team can hold a maximum squad of 25 players for the season.

For the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the remaining purse stands at Rs. 16.4 crore. They have released several notable names - Liam Livingstone (Rs. 8.75 crore), Lungi Ngidi (Rs. 1.00 crore), Mayank Agarwal (Rs. 1.00 crore), and a few others.

With all franchises adjusting their squads and purse strategies, the mini-auction is expected to bring intense bidding battles, strategic signings, and major moves as teams finalise their core for IPL 2026.    Here is the full list of purse remaining for all 10 teams ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction
