SRH skipper Pat Cummins opted to bat first after winning the toss, and they posted the third-highest total in IPL history—278/3 in 20 overs. Their opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head added 92 runs for the first wicket in 6.5 overs, as Abhishek got out for 32 off 16.

Then, Klaasen came out to bat at number three and stitched 83 runs for the second wicket with Head before the Aussie opener got dismissed for 76 off 40. Klaasen continued smashing the KKR bowlers all around the park and added another 83 runs along with Ishan Kishan for the third wicket.

In the end, he smashed the joint-third fastest IPL century (37 balls) and etched his name in the record books. Eventually, they ended up posting that mammoth total, and for KKR, only Sunil Narine bagged two wickets, while Vaibhav Arora took one.
