Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered a dominant nine-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur in the ongoing IPL 2025. After restricting RR to 173/4 in their 20 overs, RCB chased down the target comfortably in 17.3 overs to secure two more points. Phil Salt was named the Player of the Match for his quickfire 65 off 33 balls.
RCB skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first. RR had a steady start, losing their first wicket at 49 in 6.5 overs. Skipper Sanju Samson was dismissed for 15 (19), but Yashasvi Jaiswal kept the scoreboard moving and went on to score his second fifty of the season.
Riyan Parag also got a start but fell for 30 (22). Jaiswal was the top scorer with 75 off 47 balls, while Dhruv Jurel chipped in with a handy unbeaten 35 off 23 balls towards the end. RR finished at 173/4 in their allotted 20 overs. For RCB, Krunal Pandya, Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yash Dayal took one wicket each.

In reply, RCB openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave their team a flying start. The pair added 92 runs for the first wicket in just 8.4 overs. Salt was in top form, scoring 65 from 33 balls at a strike rate of 196.96 before getting out. Kohli, however, stayed unbeaten and guided RCB to victory with a composed 62* off 45 balls, bringing up his 100th T20 fifty in the process.
Devdutt Padikkal, batting at number three, gave good support with an unbeaten 40 off 28 balls as RCB chased down the target with ease. With this win, RCB climbed to third place in the points table with eight points from six games and a healthy net run rate of +0.672.
Meanwhile, RR slipped to eighth place, also with four points from six games but a net run rate of -0.838. RCB will play their next match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 18 April in Bengaluru, while RR will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) on 16 April in Delhi.
