IPL 2025: Who won yesterday's game between RCB vs DC?

Delhi Capitals (DC) continued their unbeaten run in IPL 2025, securing their fourth win in four matches. They defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by six wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. KL Rahul was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 93 off 53 balls during DC’s successful chase of a 164-run target.

DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first. RCB openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt gave the team a flying start, smashing 53 runs in the first three overs. However, momentum shifted quickly after Salt was run out for 37 (17). RCB's batting collapsed soon after, slipping to 117/6 in 14.5 overs.

Kohli scored 22 off 14 balls, and skipper Rajat Patidar added 25 (23), but the rest of the top order failed to make an impact. Tim David then played a brilliant unbeaten cameo of 37 off 20 balls, and Krunal Pandya supported him with 18 off 18. Thanks to their efforts, RCB managed to post a competitive total of 163/7 in 20 overs.

DC's spinners dominated the middle overs. Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav both took two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma chipped in with one wicket each. The pitch became slower as the innings progressed, helping the spinners with turn and grip. Batters found it difficult to time the ball. In those conditions, Tim David’s knock stood out as a top-class effort.

Let’s take a look at DC’s chase

In reply, RCB bowlers made an excellent start, reducing DC to 30/3 early in the chase. But KL Rahul, who had scored an unbeaten fifty against Chennai Super Kings in the previous match, stepped up again—this time at number four. Despite batting in a different position, he delivered a match-winning performance.

Rahul remained unbeaten on 93 from 53 balls, guiding his team home. He got valuable support from Tristan Stubbs, who also stayed not out on 38 from 23 deliveries. Together, they chased down the target in just 17.5 overs, with six wickets in hand.
