Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by nine wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The victory marked MI’s fourth win of the IPL 2025 season, and it was powered by a brilliant unbeaten knock from Rohit Sharma, who was named the Player of the Match for his 76* off 45 balls.
MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first. CSK started their innings with openers Shaik Rasheed and Rachin Ravindra. Rasheed, however, struggled a bit and scored 19 off 20. The innings got back on track thanks to Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja. Both left-handers played with patience and power, stabilising the innings. Dube made a solid 50 off 32 balls before being dismissed, while Jadeja stayed unbeaten with a composed 53 off 35 deliveries.
CSK ended on 176/5 in their 20 overs. For MI, Jasprit Bumrah was once again the standout bowler with two wickets, while Mitchell Santner, Ashwani Kumar, and Deepak Chahar took one each.
