It was a high-scoring encounter with RCB posting 213 runs in their 20 overs on the back of fifties from Jacob Bethell, Virat Kohli and Romario Shepherd. In response, Ayush Mhatre and Ravindra Jadeja scored 94 and 77* runs but their efforts went in vain as CSK agonisingly fell short by just two runs, to lose for the ninth time this season.
With Josh Hazlewood not featuring in this clash, there is no change in the top two of the list of the players with the most wickets in IPL 2025. However, Noor Ahmad has climbed to the third place after picking up one wicket against RCB and taking his tally to 16 wickets. Krunal Pandya of RCB also made it to the fifth place with another good show and has 14 wickets to show for his efforts.
Among other players Khaleel Ahmed endured arguably the worst day of his IPL career, conceding 65 runs in just three overs without picking up a wicket. He slipped to eighth place and still has 14 wickets to his name.
