Punjab Kings faced Delhi Capitals in the 66th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday (May 24). The match took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and the venue witnessed the Capitals chasing down 207 runs successfully in the final over of the innings. They won the match by six wickets and with three balls in hand.
Only 12 wickets fell in the game as the batter dominated the encounter. The bowlers who picked wickets in the clash didn’t affect any change in the list of the players with most wickets in IPL 2025. Arshdeep Singh of Punjab Kings had a chance to climb up the ladder. But he didn’t have a great game, returning with figures of 0/35 in his four overs.
He remains in the eighth place with 16 wickets after 13 matches at an average of 24.12 and a strike rate of 16.62. His economy of 8.7 is among the best on the list compared to the other fast bowlers.
Noor Ahmad of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continues to be on top of the ladder with 21 wickets. Prasidh Krishna has also picked 21 wickets and is the prime candidate now to win the purple cap as Gujarat Titans have reached the playoffs.
