IPL 2025: Updated Purple Cap table after LSG vs DC Match 40

Delhi Capitals (DC) are going strong in the ongoing IPL 2025. After defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow, they are now in the second spot of the points table with 12 points in eight games.

DC’s Mukesh Kumar won the Player of the Match award for his four-wicket spell, but with nine wickets in eight games so far, he is yet to break into the top 10 highest wicket-takers list for the Purple Cap this season. Gujarat Titans’ (GT) Prasidh Krishna is still at the top with 16 wickets in eight games. 

His teammate, Sai Kishore, is now at the second spot with 12 wickets in eight games. Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Noor Ahmad has also taken 12 wickets so far in eight games and is sitting in the third spot. 

DC’s Kuldeep Yadav had a chance yesterday to add more wickets to his tally, but he went wicketless in his four overs and is now sitting in the fourth spot with 12 wickets in eight games. In the fifth and sixth spots, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Josh Hazlewood (12 wickets in eight games) and GT’s Mohammed Siraj (12 wickets in eight games) remain, respectively.

Another bowler who has taken 12 wickets is LSG’s Shardul Thakur, but he has managed it in nine games. He also had a chance to add to his tally in yesterday’s clash vs DC but went wicketless in his two overs, conceding 28 runs. 

In the last three spots, Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya is there with 11 wickets in seven games, and then, followed by him, there are Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Harshit Rana (11 wickets in eight games) and Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) Arshdeep Singh (11 wickets in eight games), respectively.
