IPL 2025: Updated Purple Cap table after KKR vs GT Match 39

Gujarat Titans (GT) are going strong in this ongoing IPL 2025 as they are now in the top spot with 12 points in eight games. After defeating the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Kolkata by 39 runs, they have strengthened their grip at the top.

Their top three batters have been superb so far, but there are some bowlers also who have been delivering for them, and they did again against KKR. The first name that has impressed many so far with his consistency is Prasidh Krishna. 

In eight matches, he has taken 16 wickets at an economy of 7.29, and currently, he is leading the race for the Purple Cap. Then, in the second place, Delhi Capitals’ (DC) spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, is there with 12 wickets in seven games at an economy of 6.25. However, he is followed by five bowlers who have also taken 12 wickets each so far in the competition. 

They are GT’s Sai Kishore (in eight games), Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Noor Ahmad (in eight games), Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Josh Hazlewood (in eight games), GT’s Mohammed Siraj (in eight games), and Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Shardul Thakur (in eight games).

Then, the following four bowlers have taken 10 wickets each so far. Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya (in seven games), KKR’s Harshit Rana (in eight games), and Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) Arshdeep Singh (in eight games) are in the eighth, ninth, and 10th positions, respectively. CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed has also taken 11 wickets in eight games, sitting in the 11th spot.
