Chennai Super Kings (CSK) edged past Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by two wickets in a thrilling IPL 2025 encounter. The standout performer of the match was CSK's Noor Ahmad, who was named Player of the Match for his outstanding spell. KKR’s Varun Chakaravarthy picked up two wickets in the match against CSK and now sits fifth on the Purple Cap table with 17 wickets from 12 games. Just behind him is Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) left-arm quick Arshdeep Singh, who has taken 16 wickets in 11 matches.
GT’s Mohammed Siraj holds the eighth spot with 15 wickets in 11 outings, while his teammate R Sai Kishore completes the top 10 with 14 wickets in 11 matches. He shares the 14-wicket tally with five other bowlers—RCB’s Krunal Pandya, SRH’s Harshal Patel, PBKS’ Yuzvendra Chahal, DC’s Mitchell Starc, and CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed.
