Mumbai Indians knocked Gujarat Titans out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) with a 20-run win over them in the Eliminator, played at Mullanpur in Chandigarh. It was a comprehensive performance from the five-time champions, who restricted the Titans to just 208 runs, defending 228.

Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah picked up two and one wicket respectively to take their tally of wickets to 21 and 18. Boult remained in fourth place with Hazlewood faring much better than him while picking up as many wickets so far. Meanwhile, Bumrah too retained his sixth place and is still in the race to win the purple cap.
Titans’ left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore returned with figures of 2/42 and jumped to fifth place on this list. He ended the IPL 2025 season with 19 wickets from 15 matches even as his teammate Prasidh Krishna finished the tournament with a purple cap to his name.
It was a day to forget for Krishna, conceding 53 runs but picked up two wickets to trump Noor Ahmad and grab the purple cap. Krishna has 25 wickets to his name and his closest competitors now are Hazlewood, Boult, Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. All of these players will be in action in the remaining two matches and it remains to be seen if any of the bowlers will be able to go past Krishna.
