Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a Super Over in yesterday’s clash in the ongoing IPL 2025. With this win, they have now won five out of their six matches so far. But in yesterday’s victory, their star bowler Mitchell Starc played a huge role, especially with the way he bowled in the death overs and the Super Over.

It earned him the Player of the Match award as well. Thus, some significant changes took place in the race for the Purple Cap. However, Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Noor Ahmad is still leading the race with 12 wickets in seven games at an economy of 7.12.

After yesterday’s game, DC’s Kuldeep Yadav is now in the second spot with 11 wickets in six games, at an economy of 6.04. CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed at number three and Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Shardul Thakur at number four are tied with 11 wickets each. Then, the next six places are grabbed by bowlers who have taken 10 wickets so far this year.

Those are Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya (in five matches), Gujarat Titans’ Prasidh Krishna (in six matches), Sai Kishore (in six matches), Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Varun Chakravarthy (in seven matches), Harshit Rana (in seven games), and GT’s Mohammed Siraj (in six games).

After yesterday’s performances, Starc is in the 11th spot. His economy is 10.06 in six games, but he has also bagged 10 wickets so far.
