It was a dead-rubber match on Tuesday (May 20) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Chennai Super Kings locked horns against the Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It turned out to be a pretty one-sided encounter as the Royals chased down 188 runs without fretting much, with 17 balls and six wickets in hand.

Earlier, after their captain Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl, the Royals did well to keep a check on the CSK batters. They reduced the opposition to 70/5 and it was only due to the partnership between Dewald Brevis and Shivam Dube they brought the CSK innings back on track.
However, some brilliant death overs bowling from Akash Madhwal and Tushar Deshpande in the last three overs, restricted the CSK to only 187 runs in their 20 overs. While defending the target, the five-time champions could only pick four wickets with one of them being picked by mystery spinner Noor Ahmad.
The youngster returned with figures of 1/42 in just three overs but the wicket of Riyan Parag took his tally to 21 scalps in IPL 2025. He is the joint-highest wicket-taker of the season alongside Prasidh Krishna who also has 21 wickets in 13 matches.
