Avesh Khan emerged as the match-winner for Lucknow with figures of 3/37, executing his plans effectively under pressure and defending 10 runs in the last over.

This result sees LSG join three other teams at 10 points, although their net run rate remains on the lower side (+0.088). RR, on the other hand, now sit in 8th place with just 4 points from 8 matches and an NRR of -0.633. With the playoff race tightening, RR must now win nearly all of their remaining fixtures to remain in contention.
