The league stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is left with only two matches and the race to win the Orange Cap continues to be intense. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill of Gujarat Titans continue to grab top two slots at the end of 68 matches of the season.

Sudharsan added 41 runs to his tally on Sunday (May 25) against the Chennai Super Kings and strengthened his top spot. He has now scored 679 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 155.37 with a century and five fifties to his name. Gill didn’t add much but remained in second position with 649 runs after 14 matches at a strike rate of 156.38 with six fifties.
Jos Buttler was the other candidate in the race who was in action on Sunday (May 25). But he could add only five runs to his tally to finish IPL 2025 season with 538 runs in 14 matches. He is not available for the Titans in the playoffs due to international duty.
Among other players, Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians is in contention to topple the top two batters. He is in third place at the moment with 583 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 170.46 with four fifties.
