Mumbai Indians jumped to the top of the points table with a solid 100-run win in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rajasthan Royals were at the receiving end of this clash as they became the second team after Chennai Super Kings to get knocked out of the ongoing season.

It was a perfect team work for the five-time champions as their top four batters together notched up 217 runs in their 20 overs. Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma notched up half-centuries while Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav scored 48 runs each. MI then bowled well to defend the total comfortably, skittling the Royals for just 117 runs.

With his latest effort, Surya is the new Orange Cap holder with 475 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 172.72. He is now the only player with 11 consecutive scores of 25 or more in IPL history. Yashasvi Jaiswal of the Royals remained at the fourth place after scoring 13 runs, taking his tally this season to 439 runs in 11 outings.

With Surya jumping to the top, Sai Sudharsan and Virat Kohli slipped a place each to second and third respectively, having amassed 456 and 443 runs so far. The rest of the list of players with most runs in IPL 2025 didn’t change.
