IPL 2025: Updated Orange Cap table after RCB vs SRH Match 65

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 42 runs in the 65th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The clash was played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and it turned out to be a high-scoring encounter. SRH seemed to be at their best as they amassed 231 runs on the board in their 20 overs.

Ishan Kishan was the star for them, smashing an unbeaten 94 off just 48 balls with seven fours and five sixes. The other batters assisted him well as SRH posted a mammoth total on the board. In response, Virat Kohli led the way with the bat for RCB. He took the onus early on as Phil Salt was struggling and scored 43 runs off just 25 balls with seven fours and one six to his name.

With his latest effort, the former RCB captain jumped from eighth to sixth position in the list of the players with the most runs in IPL 2025. Kohli has so far scored 548 runs in 12 matches at an average of more than 60 and a strike rate of 145.35. He has also notched up seven fifties this season, showcasing his excellent form.

Kohli’s position was the only change on the orange cap list for IPL 2025 on Friday, even as Sai Sudharsan continues to be the leading run-scorer of the season.
