Two high-scoring matches took place on the double-header day in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Sunday. Both matches witnessed an aggregate of more than 400 runs with Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings registering crucial wins.

In the first match, KKR defeated Rajasthan Royals by one run, defending 206 runs while PBKS made light work of Lucknow Super Kings, winning their clash by 37 runs. Despite so many runs being scored across four teams, the top three in the list of players with the most runs in IPL 2025 remain unchanged with Virat Kohli donning the Orange Cap, having amassed 505 runs.
Sai Sudharsan and Suryakumar Yadav are placed second and third with 504 and 475 runs respectively. Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals climbed to fourth place and has 473 runs to his name after 12 matches.
Due to Jaiswal, Jos Buttler (470 runs) and Shubman Gill (465 runs) dropped a place each to fifth and sixth. Prabhsimran Singh notched up his third consecutive half-century on Sunday and now has jumped to seventh with 437 runs in 11 matches. Shreyas Iyer climbed to ninth position with his 45-run knock against LSG and has 405 runs from 11 matches while Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh are in eighth and 10th places respectively.
