IPL 2025: Updated Orange Cap table after PBKS vs DC Match 58

The 58th clash of the ongoing IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was called off. Later, BCCI issued a statement that reads: "The Punjab Kings v Delhi Capitals match (Match#58) in Tata IPL was forced to be abandoned due to a significant technical failure at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Due to a power outage in the area, one of the light towers at the HPCA Stadium malfunctioned. BCCI regrets the inconvenience caused to the in-stadium attendees."

After a one-hour delay due to rain, the match began with no overs lost, and PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer chose to bat after winning the toss. Before the suspension, play continued for 10.1 overs, during which PBKS scored 122/1. 

The 122-run opening partnership came from Priyansh Arya (70 off 34) and Prabhsimran Singh (50* off 28). These impressive knocks have boosted their positions in the Orange Cap race. Prabhsimran is now sixth with 487 runs, while Priyansh is in eighth place with 417 runs.

Mumbai Indians’ (MI) Suryakumar Yadav still holds the Orange Cap with 510 runs. He is followed by Gujarat Titans’ (GT) Sai Sudharsan with 509 runs, GT’s Shubman Gill with 508, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Virat Kohli with 505, and another GT batter, Jos Buttler, with 500.

Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Yashasvi Jaiswal remains seventh with 473 runs, while Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Nicholas Pooran is ninth with 410 runs, and PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer is in 10th with 405 runs.
