Gujarat Titans (GT) registered a dominating 39-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 39th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 in Kolkata. With this win, they now have 12 points in eight games at the top spot. GT skipper, Shubman Gill, smashed 90 (55) as it earned him the Player of the Match award. But also, it helped him to get back strongly in the race for the Orange Cap.

However, after yesterday’s clash, GT’s Sai Sudharsan is currently leading the race for the Orange Cap with 417 runs in eight matches, with a strike rate of 152.18. The consistency that he has been showing so far in the tournament has been surreal.

After smashing a match-winning knock of 90 runs vs KKR, Gill is in the seventh spot with 305 runs in eight games.
LSG’s Mitchell Marsh (299 in seven games) and Aiden Markram (274 in eight games) are in the eighth and ninth spots, respectively. KKR skipper, Ajinkya Rahane, hit another fifty in the last game vs GT and now, with a tally of 271 runs in eight games, he is in the 10th spot.
