Gujarat Titans registered their seventh win of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Friday (May 2) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It was yet another clinical display from the IPL 2022 champions as they thumped Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in the 51st match of IPL 2025.

Once again, the top three showed off their batting skills for the Titans after losing the toss. Shubman Gill smashed 76 runs off 38 deliveries while Sai Sudharsan raced his way to 48 runs off 23 balls. Jos Buttler, batting at three, scored 64 runs off 37 balls as the trio hit 22 fours and six sixes together in the innings. On the back of their effort, GT posted a mammoth total of 224 runs on the board in their 20 overs.
With their top three scoring consistently in every match, the race for the Orange Cup is fast becoming a contest between them. Gill, Sudharsan and Buttler are among the top four batters with most runs this season. Sudharsan is on top of the list and holds the Orange Cap for amassing 504 runs so far while Buttler has hit 470 runs who is in third place.
Gill is just five runs behind him with 465 runs to his name in the ongoing IPL edition. Suryakumar Yadav is standing tall between them in second place with 475 runs in 11 matches so far. Virat Kohli of RCB completes the top five list in this aspect having scored 443 runs in 10 matches thus far.
