IPL 2025: Ranking the top 3 SRH players of the season

Sunrisers Hyderabad were on a spree in the previous season, where they kept annihilating oppositions and had reached the finals as well. However, they were unable to replicate their performance this year and were quickly eliminated from the playoff race in the tournament. Having such an abysmal season, there were still some bright spots in the team. However, some names might surprise everyone. Here are three such names.

Heinrich Klaasen

Despite batting in the middle order of the club, Heinrich Klaasen was SRH's top run scorer this season. He maintained an average of 44 with 487 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 172.69. Along with a few helpful cameos, he scored a half-century and a century in the most recent game. 

Even though he scored more runs than he did the previous season, the majority of them came when SRH was on the verge of elimination from the playoffs. So the team would like him to perform early on in the season next time.

Jaydev Unadkat

Brought in late in the season, there was not much hope around him as the team was in tatters. The team kept playing poorly even after Jaydev Unadkat was introduced, but the performance had certainly improved to some extent.

He managed to scalp away 11 wickets in the seven games he got to be a part of the team. What was exceptional this time around was that he maintained an economy of just 7.34, which is exceptional, not just for him but for any bowler in the tournament. As a result, he also had an average of just 15.90.

Eshan Malinga

A bowling lineup that boasted the likes of Pat Cummins, Mohammad Shami and Harshal Patel was outshone by a rather new bowler. Eshan Malinga made his debut in the Indian Premier League this season and went under the radar with his performance, but was equally well as it gets.

He got to play in just seven games of the season, but was able to take away 13 wickets in those matches. He maintained an economy of 8.92 and, more importantly, 18.30 as the average was dazzling. He should definitely be getting more chances in the coming season.
