IPL 2025: Ranking the top 3 RCB players of the season

Josh Hazlewood

Fans were worried about his shoulder ailment, but in his first game back after more than three weeks, Hazlewood destroyed PBKS in the powerplay by taking crucial wickets of Josh Inglis and Shreyas Iyer, setting RCB up for victory.

His skill in the end has been equally important and has given the team confidence in the closing stages. Despite playing a lot fewer games, he was ranked third on the Purple Cap list. In just 12 games, he claimed 22 wickets at an economy rate of 8.77.

Virat Kohli

His eight half-centuries this season, all in victories, set a record. The strike rate he achieved during his historic, record-breaking 973-run effort in 2016 is not far off the 152.03 he achieved this season.

More of a storm at the top than an anchor, Kohli has mostly carried over his persona from the second half of 2024, when RCB amassed six straight victories to make a run at the playoffs. This season, his average in chases is an outstanding 88.50. He made a total of 657 runs and finished as the third-highest run scorer.

Krunal Pandya

Krunal's highest season total of wickets was achieved this season. He brought in 15 wickets this season, including 11 in RCB's perfect seven-game winning streak away from home.

By utilising his various lengths, trajectory, and wicked bouncer, Krunal has mainly held his own against left-handers. This was most evident against MI, where he outwitted Mitchell Santner and won with a triple-wicket final over in which he had to defend 18. In a pivotal away victory over the Delhi Capitals (DC), Krunal achieved his first IPL fifty since 2016.
