Punjab Kings made it to the Indian Premier League finals after a ten-year hiatus, and it needed a full team effort to get there. Some players, however, distinguished out with their performances since they contributed significantly more than the others. These three athletes had outstanding seasons.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer and the Punjab Kings had an incredible IPL season. He must have been under a lot of pressure to justify his price tag because he was purchased at a record price, but he was likely the only player to do so.

Throughout the season, he excelled both as a batsman and as a field captain. This season, he improved his game and led his club to the finals by smashing 604 runs at a strike rate of 175 and playing an aggressive leadership role. He became the only captain to lead three different teams to the finals.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh, the Punjab Kings' star left-arm bowler, was spot on for the squad this season. He has become one of the most lethal bowlers in the league and the world because of his steady improvement in skill over the years.

He played in all 17 of his team's games in the season, taking 21 wickets at an economy rate of 8.88. He finished with 21 wickets and was among the highest wicket-takers, despite having a slump in the middle. This demonstrates the quality of his game.

Priyansh Arya

This season, 23-year-old Priyansh Arya made his Indian Premier League debut. He never appeared to be out of place at this point, though, given the calibre of the game he played. Instead, anytime he was out on the crease, he was applying pressure to the opposition. 

In his first season, he had scored 475 runs from 17 games, including two fifties and a century. He opened the innings for Punjab with an incredible strike rate of 179.24 despite having an average of 27.94. He had smashed a magnificent ton against CSK in just his fourth IPL match.
