IPL 2025: Ranking the top 3 LSG players of the season

Lucknow Super Giants had made an excellent start to the season and were looking strong going ahead, but seemed to lose their way. Although there were some bad moments from the team, there were also some that were exemplary. Here are three such players who did a great job.

Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh had the best season he has ever had in the history of the Indian Premier League. He could never play all his games due to constant injuries, but he was fit enough this time to go on and had a miraculous season.

He played 13 games for the team, where he smashed 627 runs, and that too at a strike rate of 163.70. He was ranked fifth highest among all the run-getters of the season and could have had a real shot at the orange cap if his team had qualified.

Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran simply went into monster mode when he started the season with the Lucknow Super Giants. He did fade off somewhere in the middle, but managed to get his rhythm to some extent towards the business end of the tournament as well.

He had an unparalleled strike rate of 196 for the season and had amassed 524 runs as well. Even after multiple failures in the middle, he managed to have an average of 43.66 from 14 games. He had the runs of a top-order batter and the strike rate of a finisher.

Digvesh Rathi

Lucknow Super Giants and all their oppositions had prepared for Ravi Bishnoi as the spin mastery of the team, but Digvesh Rathi came out of the syllabus. Playing his very first season, he made an immense impact on the team with not just his bowling but an aggressive approach as well.

He played in 13 games, picking up 14 wickets while managing a strained economy of 8.25 runs per over. His celebrations kept being viral, and he was even banned from a game as he collected enough demerit points for the same.
